Overview

Tembea Kenya is a Kenya tourism guide developed by Gideon Geng. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how you can control it.

Data We Collect

• Email address (when signing in with Google or Email)
• Display name and profile photo (from your Google account)
• Saved favourite destinations (synced to your account)
• Public reviews and display name you choose when posting comments
• Device or other IDs — including your Advertising ID (Android Advertising ID), collected by Google AdMob to show and measure ads
• App usage and diagnostics via Firebase Analytics (screens viewed, session data, device model, OS version)
• Firebase user ID (anonymous or linked to your account when signed in)

Why We Collect It

• To save and sync your favourite destinations across devices
• To personalise your experience inside the app
• To show in-app advertisements (AdMob)
• To improve app performance and fix bugs
• We do not sell your data to third parties

Third-Party Services

• Google Firebase — Authentication, database, cloud storage, analytics, push notifications
• Google AdMob — In-app ads; may collect and share your Advertising ID with Google and ad partners. Google Privacy Policy
• OpenStreetMap (OSMDroid) — Map tiles only; no personal data shared
• Open-Meteo — Weather using destination coordinates only; no personal data shared

Your Rights

• Request a copy of all data we hold about you
• Request deletion of your account and all associated data
• Request deletion of specific data without deleting your account
• Use the app as a guest without creating an account
